Wareham Development

Mr. Sears, a Wareham Development partner, has nearly 40 years of experience in real estate design, development, finance, and asset management.  Since he joined Wareham in 1998, he has been primarily responsible for the development, construction, leasing, and management of the company’s multi-million square foot campus of Class A lab, office and mixed-use properties in Emeryville in the East Bay, as well as overseeing Wareham’s Palo Alto laboratory holdings.  Most recently, Mr. Sears directed the development, construction and leasing of the latest addition to Wareham’s EmeryStation campus—the 267,000 SF EmeryStation West transit center and research building.

Prior to joining Wareham Mr. Sears ran the western U.S. asset management portfolio of Citicorp Real Estate, representing several million square feet of different property types across several western US.  Before that he had worked in development and in real estate finance in California and New York.  Geoffrey has an architecture degree from Yale University where he graduated cum laude and with honors.

Mr. Sears is active in various charitable and philanthropic efforts with a focus on education and the arts.  He is current President of the Emeryville Transportation Management Association which operates Emeryville’s free bus system.  Geoffrey enjoys interviewing applicants to Yale College and is a member of several Yale affinity groups.  His daughter attended Yale and he has a niece there now.  He is a married father of three grown daughters and enjoys adventure racing, triathlons, cycling, and orienteering.

Michael Moskowitz, one of the founding partners of Ensemble Investments, has been involved in commercial real estate for over 35 years. Mr. Moskowitz began his career as an Owners’ Representative, managing large-scale development projects in Southern California. Since forming Ensemble in 1990, he has been active as a Managing Director of the company as well as serving as the “Principal-in-Charge” on many acquisition and development projects across several states.

His work in the hospitality sector has included the development or renovation of over a dozen hotel properties, including many properties of note in California such as the Hotel Nia in Menlo Park, the Bernardus Lodge and Spa in Carmel Valley and the Dream Inn Santa Cruz.   In the healthcare real estate sector, Mr. Moskowitz has overseen the development and acquisition of numerous medical office and outpatient facilities in California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, and Texas, including the award-winning development of the Saint Mary’s center for Health in Reno, Nevada.

Mr. Moskowitz earned a BA in Architecture from Yale College and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA with an emphasis in real estate and finance where he graduated with honors. He has been active volunteering as an alumni interviewer for Yale and supporting various charitable causes including National Public Radio as well as serving as a Sustaining Member on the board of the Ziman Center for Real Estate at UCLA.

Michael and his wife live in Newport Beach, CA and Scottsdale, AZ. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with extended family and friends, cooking, reading, traveling and photography.
