What is "Let's Discuss"?

Let's Discuss is a virtual conversation series moderated by members of the alumni community. These conversations, not to exceed 45 minutes, bring together alumni across regions, industries, and classes to discuss an array of topics of interest to members of the alumni community.

 


Moderated by James Eisenberg '93

Join James Eisenberg '93, for a short introductory presentation on "Societal and Economic Impacts of Blockchain Technology and Adoption," followed by a participatory conversation on the same topic.

Following his introductory presentation, James will prompt the conversation, so please come prepared for an active discussion on the topic. Registration is required. The total number of participants is capped at 30.

After graduating Yale SOM in 1993, James Eisenberg joined Netscape Communications in Silicon Valley, and participated in one of the greatest technology revolutions of our time, as the internet went mainstream. Today, he is the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner of Interblock Capital Partners, a hedge fund focusing on the global opportunity in blockchain technology, the next phase of the Internet. In between those roles, James forged an entrepreneurial path through 25 years in Silicon Valley, including management roles at E&Y Technology and several venture-backed software start-ups; eventually establishing and leading his own technology-driven companies both in the US and India. James has been a speaker at international governmental and business forums, for YPO and at the United Nations on topics of blockchain, technology innovations in sustainability, big data, and digital media. Over his career, James has worked in the private, public, and NGO sectors. James lives in North Dallas today, with his wife and 10-year old daughter.
